A past boss once gave me a bad review.
Being the only bad review I have ever had I questioned it.
His reply was that he did not hear enough from me.
I told him that my job was to make things run smooth, keep the heat off of him and that if he heard from me that there was probably a problem.
It was my job to keep him out of the problem spotlight.
Upon leaving the company he called me up and apologized.
He said that he realized that most of everyone else was simply complaining and that he knew that as long as he did not hear from me that everything was working as expected.
My response?
"Before you leave, can you go back and change that review?"
