Know when to fold'm

Me, Myself and I I am beginning to wonder if I write code because of the way I am or if I am the way I am because I write code. For some reason I have always had a knack and enjoyment of fixing things as well as finding solutions to problems. (Probably from breaking things) I enjoy the fact that through a structured bit of ones and zeros that you can make a computer do your bidding. From the very first "Hello World" to the current date it becomes an obsession and not the normal kind. Similar to when I was doing airbrushing, (or any form of artistry for that matter) it never seems quite done. Something could work better.. something could look better.. etc. One of the things I did learn from airbrushing is that at some point you MUST say it is finished! If you continue beyond that point you risk the chance that you will actually make it worse. Trust me, I have been there a few times. The same hold true with coding. A tweak here, a tweak there becomes a continuous freakin' tweak-fest. Today, I am saying "it is done". There are bills to be paid, laundry to be washed, rooms to be cleaned (no offense Rhoomba) and yardwork waiting. So in taking my own advice.. thend
