Road Trip

Last week I went on a road trip to pick up a gift card. On my way to the store, I happened into the guitar store and found another addition to my collection. It was definitely a "the guitar picked you" scenario. After plugging it into an Orange amp, I really fell in love with it. random image courtesy of SamAsh but not my guitar I do not own an Ibanez guitar, so on top of being a new ax, it is one that I do not currently own. Because it was a used guitar, I was able to purchase it, but when I went to leave, they said I had to wait until Sunday to actually pick it up, which was like a kick in the nads. I believe it is so they can make sure the trade in was legit and not on some "hot" list. Buying this little lovely (which cost mch less than what I expected, so much so that I asked the store worker if the tag was "actually" the price of the guitar, luckily saying yes, I quickly said.. "wrap it up, it is mine now!!!" "It is yours but you cannot leave the store with it".. ugh!!!!! what???!!! To me that was like akin to the clerk saying "that girl over there said she wants to take you home and have her way with you, but unfortunately her boyfriend just walked in so she can't". Seriously??? you can buy it today but can't pick it up for a week??? Immediately I should have taken a thousand pictures of it, video even, who knows what all they can replace on it in a week.. right? ugh... I just hope it is exactly the same axe I played in the store, which I am sure I will question now. Because it was a spur of the moment buy, I was not so concerned about the fine details. live&learn... I also found a gorgeous blue Jackson which I really liked but did not like the feel as much and it was 100 more than the Ibanez so black it is, though the blue was dreamy looking and I do not have a blue guitar, just red sunburst so far. PIck up is today at guitar centers and it looks like they open at like 11am. nice and early right? been up since 5am.
