Pi 7" display

Forums:

A few little nuances on adding the default 7" display to your slice of pi. First, the setup. The pages that come with the pi are basically useless. If you are using the default 7" screen enclosure then chances are you will need to flip the screen 180 degrees. This can be done by the following: You can rotate the LCD by editing /boot/config.txt and adding the line: lcd_rotate=2 to the top. I have had a few different displays and the wire colors will vary. In this setup I used (Note that they start 1 pin in and not on the end pin) You can look up the PI GPIO diagram to get the exact pin names/function. Red for 5V Black for ground Yellow (SCL) will be directly across from Black Green (SDA) will be directly across from Red
