Modifications

Forums:

Ok, so I will admit that there are times when some modifications make sense. There are also times where you see that modifications were made to support a miniscule group of users. Take my mower for instance. Granted, there is probably some reason why you are required to perform a multitude of operations simply to be able to go in reverse. This may be meaningful when you are mowing grass on a playground full of youngsters or possibly cutting along the edge of a cliff-side golf resort.. but on a flat half acre plot??? It certainly makes you wonder if the person designing these modifications have actually ever performed the operation. I am actually ok with adding something to protect a small number of non-able bodies but offer an OVERRIDE option. You should think about this when you are coding features into your own products. Do the requirements of a few really override the needs of the many? Nuff said.
